Baptism  q & A

When can I be baptized?

Anytime, but we encourage you to do two things:

1. Once you’ve made your decision, do so as quickly as possible. This is the Biblical precedent.

2. One of the best ways you can influence others is to let them see your baptism. For this reason, we encourage Sunday mornings, but there is no rule about this.

Who can baptize me?

Anyone, but we encourage you to choose someone who has or will be a spiritual encouragement to you.

What time will the baptism be?

The baptism usually will be near the end of the service. Directly after the sermon, we'll invite people to make a decision or to come for prayer. Instead of coming forward, you two can walk out the back, through the gym and into the backstage area. One of us will find you there.

What do I wear?

A swimsuit and tee shirt are great. If you'd like to wear a white robe over this, we have those. Some people like to do this and some don't. It doesn't matter at all to us. We'll have towels backstage for you.

Any other things I need to know or do in preparation?

If you wouldn't mind telling us just a brief version of why you chose to be baptized, it will allow us to introduce you in a meaningful way. Sometimes these brief, background stories make an enormous impact in the lives of others listening.
