“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’” - Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)

summary

Joseph didn’t believe Mary. How was it possible that the child inside of her had been conceived by the Holy Spirit? But when an angel spoke to Joseph in a dream, Joseph listened. He took a leap of faith and learned that trusting God, even when it doesn’t seem to make sense, is always right.

bottom line

We need to put our faith in God, even when it doesn’t seem to make sense.

simple prayer

Dear God, 
Thank you for the example of Joseph and those who came before him. Give us the faith to believe in Jesus and to follow you wherever you may lead us. 
In Jesus’ name, Amen
